How this game works

Focused practice, useful feedback

Standard addition practice combines two-digit and three-digit sums, with easier and harder questions mixed in for variety.

Reversed operand pairs count as duplicates, so a session will not repeat 27 + 46 as 46 + 27.

Try these techniques

Calculate with less friction

48 + 37 = 50 + 35

Make a round number

Transfer 2 from 37 to 48, then add the friendlier numbers.

63 + 29 = 63 + 20 + 9

Add tens, then ones

A consistent order reduces mental bookkeeping.

7 + 6 = 10 + 3

Use pairs to ten

Small number bonds are the foundation of larger sums.
